Sélim Mazari was born on November 3rd, 1992. As a very young boy, he developed an early interest in the piano, to start studying it at the age of 5 with Suzek Ginisty. From 6 years old, he succeeded in many famous competitions, such as “Claude Kahn”, “Steinway &Sons” and “UFAM”. In 2003, he was won an award of excellence in the Steinway&Sons competition.
He met Brigitte Engerer the following summer, with whom he continues to work. The following year, he entered the CNR of Paris Pierre Reach’s class, to finish by receiving his prize in June 2006.
He is regularly invited to perform at different festivals (La Rochelle, Musique à la cour in Toulon etc.)
He performed at the Rostropovitch Foundation in November at the Vilnius philharmonic . He was also invited to perform at the Royaumont Foundation and the Royaumont Abbey to pay a tribute to François Lang in a movie.
This year, he entered the CNSMDP unanimously in Brigitte Engerer’s class.
At the same time, he continues to study arts by correspondence.
